Assessment of Water Quality and Quantity in the Lakes of Dhaka Metropolitan City - Remote Sensing, Field and Laboratory Analyses

Lakes in the Dhaka city have been facing extreme deterioration both by quantity and quality due to rapid urban population growth for several decades. The prime objective is assess spatiotemporal changes of water lakes respectively using Sentinel 2B Landsat satellite images. study covers major twelve city. four seasonal qualities such as chlorophyll-a concentration, trophic state index (TSI), Secchi disk depth (SDD) turbidity were retrieved with conventional algorithms results showed that Uttara Park Lake reduced its area dramatically from 1972 2020 urbanization this region.
